Purpose

DIY From Scratch is a website published to share scientific and technological knowledge on the internet.
DIY From Scratch, besides, aims to promote consultancy services for both professionals and companies.
On DIY From Scratch you can find articles, guides, how-tos, notes and tutorials for engineers, students, enthusiasts, and professionals looking for an online reference.
The whole website is mainly focused on electronics and informatics, from programming to circuit design, from power electronics to algorithm development, from pure maths to design tips, even if other topics are addressed too.
You can contact us through the dedicated page whenever you want in case you need technical support or consultancy service; we are available to evaluate any type of collaboration request.
Do it yourself
The first part of the name comes from the DIY (Do It Yourself) approach to life: if you want something, don't buy it, make it with your hands. This helps to develop a deep understanding of the process behind an object, a service, a tool, or a handiwork (in this case, a website), and to understand how truly valuable, difficult, and useful things are, even those that are not. At the end of the journey, you'll always know something more than before.
From scratch
We always thought that, if one wants to deeply understand something, they have to do it starting from scratch. Building up something from the ground helps to understand the difficulties and stimulates us to find new solutions and workarounds. The knowledge one develops with this approach is typically deeper and stronger when compared to the one of those who prefer ready-to-use solutions.
DIY From Scratch has been developed following exactly this method: We started with a blank file, no copy-pasted code, no website builders, no WYSIWYG tools, just solutions found independently.

About the founder

I'm Vanadium and I'm an electrical engineer, currently working in the automotive field. I have liked science and technology since I was a child, but when I'm not working, you can find me cycling or swimming.
I don't like to talk too much about myself on the Internet so unless I change my mind, I think I'll keep my identity secret.
However, I always share my data and references in case you ask me for technical support and consultancy services. This is done to ensure a high-quality service, straightforward communication and establish an appropriate level of trust between me and the customer.
